How the ore moves

From the pit to the port, in four stages.

Each stage is run by a dedicated, trained crew — from our yellow machine operators at the face to the washplant team upgrading concentrate for export. Every tonne is tracked, every waste stream is managed, every product is tested.

The production chain

Our vertically integrated model means we control every step of the process. Nothing is outsourced, which means we can guarantee quality, consistency and delivery timelines to our buyers.

01

Mine

2,000–3,000MT of chrome ROM extracted daily across our Northwest and Limpopo sites, graded 30%–44%, guided by ongoing geological and drone-based reserve mapping. Selective mining ensures we maximise high-grade ore recovery from each blast.

  • Daily production of 2,000–3,000MT ROM
  • Grade range: 30%–44% Cr₂O₃
  • Blast planning supported by geological data
02

Sort & sell ROM

Ore meeting local buyer specification is screened, sized and sold directly as run-of-mine at market-related prices. This stream bypasses the washplant and goes straight to South African buyers, reducing processing costs and delivery time.

  • Direct sale to established local buyers
  • No beneficiation required for ROM buyers
  • Pricing tied to prevailing market benchmarks
03

Crush, wash & concentrate

Sweepings and low-grade material are run through the washplant, where crushing and washing lift them to a 40%–42% chrome concentrate. The washplant operates continuously, producing a consistent grade product for both local and export markets.

  • On-site crushing and washing
  • Grade upgrade: 30%–44% ROM → 40%–42% concentrate
  • Consistent output quality for downstream buyers
04

Sell & export

Concentrate is sold locally and exported to three international buyers in China, supplying smelters and manufacturers downstream. Our export logistics are managed to meet shipment schedules and buyer requirements.

  • Local supply to processors and manufacturers
  • Export to 3 buyers in China
  • Supplies automotive and household goods industries

Quality control

Every batch of ROM and concentrate is tested before it leaves the site. Our on-site lab and partnered technicians ensure that grades are verified and documented before sale or shipment.

Incoming ore testing

ROM samples are tested at the pit and washplant intake to verify grade before processing decisions are made.

Process monitoring

Washplant output is monitored continuously to maintain the target 40%–42% concentrate grade.

Final product certification

Before sale or export, each shipment is tested and documented with a certificate of analysis.

Equipment & crew

Our production is supported by a fleet of yellow machine operators and washplant crews who are trained and equipped specifically for chrome mining and processing operations.

Mining fleet

Our open-pit operations use standard earth-moving equipment operated by trained crews. Equipment is maintained on-site to minimise downtime and keep production on schedule.

  • Excavators and loaders for ore extraction
  • Haul trucks for ROM transport to washplant and stockpile
  • On-site maintenance workshop for equipment reliability

Washplant crew

The washplant is run by a dedicated crew trained in crushing, screening and washing operations. They monitor output grade, manage water recirculation and maintain the plant to ensure consistent concentrate quality.

  • Crushing circuit for size reduction
  • Washing and screening for grade upgrade
  • Continuous grade monitoring and adjustment
